We are currently searching for an Human Resources Data Analyst in our Washington, DC office.

The Human Resources Data Analyst is responsible for providing critical analysis and evaluation to support the operations of the Human Resources (HR) Department within the organization. The incumbent in this role will utilize reporting, data mining, and data interpretation abilities combined with clear presentation methods to identify and build on areas of improvement--supporting HR initiatives and business goals.


Strategy & Planning
• Collaborate with management to identify data, reporting, and metric-driven initiatives to further achieve organizational objectives.
• Develop project requirements and identify research resources.
• Build and maintain relationships across the organization.
• Facilitate collaboration between HR and other departments.
• Participate in solution implementation planning.

• Integrate data from multiple data sets, analyze and interpret complex data sets and make findings relevant and actionable for stakeholders.
• Provide timely and accurate management reporting and analysis of data to create value for HR and the organization.
• Review and define HR reporting metrics and tools.
• Analyze HR processes, systems, and control measures to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
• Formulate recommendations to close information gaps in HR reportable data.
• Verify data quality to ensure accurate analysis and reporting.
• Prepare charts, graphs, and visual presentations for requests and requirements
• Provide solutions regarding HR analysis and measurement inquiries.
• Work on special projects as required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR and business trends, technologies, and analytics trends.
• Support HR data security initiatives.
• Maintain full technical documentation of data analysis systems and the flow of data elements between various systems.


Formal Education and Certification
• University or college degree in IT, Business, Math, or Statistics, or a related field.

Required Knowledge and Experience
• 3-5 years’ experience in an analytical role.
• Experience working with large datasets and forming informational reports and conclusions.
• Working knowledge of relational databases.
• Experience performing regression analysis and statistical significance testing.
• Experience generating graphs, tables, and other information displays.
• Experience plotting data against defined performance indicators for dashboard tools.
• Knowledge of information security protocols and technology.
• Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office (using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated skills in SQL and at least one mainstream reporting system, such as Cognos or Qlikview.
