We currently have an opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in the Corporate Finance Office in Washington,D.C. (Georgetown).

The Accounting Specialist is an integral part of the General Accounting team and will take responsibility for performing month end close procedures and conducting general accounting duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform mid-month/month end close
• Maintain lease commitment schedules along with deferred rent/ build out schedules
• Prepare budgets for leases and prepaid insurance
• Perform domestic bank reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries
• Conduct general ledger account analysis and maintenance
• Prepare audit schedules
• Other accounting-based projects and analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum 4-7 years of experience in accounting field
• Demonstrated ability to provide high levels of customer service in a dynamic environment
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
• Detail orientation with outstanding analytical skills
• Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge of GAAP to complex transactions
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint preferred
• CPA desirable
