The American Institutes for Research (AIR) is a leading professional services firm with a growing software engineering and product development team. We design and build things that are inspiring and make a real impact in the online testing industry. As a result of our continued growth, we are currently seeking a Senior Software QA Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Perform unit, integration, acceptance, functional, system, security and backend testing
• Ensure appropriate coverage of business and application functionality in the test cases for regression testing
• Provide accurate and timely logging of issues to the bug logging system
• Accurately collect and report testing related metrics to the Lead for all the assigned tasks
• Interact with internal users to obtain and convey concise problem information in a professional manner by phone, email, and in person
• Work on small QA projects independently and follow through to completion with minimal supervision
• Prioritize tasks effectively and work comfortably in a dynamic, challenging environment within the parameters of delivery deadlines
• Learn new skills based on project requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Five years of proven manual software testing experience in a functional QA team performing White Box testing of Web Applications in GUI and Data Layer
• Strong knowledge of writing Test Plans and Test cases is required
• Prior experience working/manipulating/parsing data files is preferred
• Experience in cross browsers/ cross platforms is required
• Experience working in the Agile environment is required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to prioritize multiple workloads and deliver timely results
• Ability to work in a team setting
• Superior attention to details
• Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking skills and a logic-based approach to problem solving

*Must be available to work a flexible schedule as needed (sometimes on short notice), including late evenings and weekends. Workload may be heavy at times.
