Overview

The Assessment Program at the American Institutes for Research (AIR) is a well-regarded pioneer within the education space. We focus on providing our clients with customized assessments that not only measure student achievement against state standards, but also provide meaningful score reports that can help students, parents, and educators address areas of student weakness. Our environment is fast-paced and requires people at all levels who are willing to roll up their sleeves to get the work done on time while maintaining high quality. We are currently seeking temporary Test Development Assistants to provide assistance on score reporting projects in our Georgetown office. Candidates will start asap and work through the end of the year.

Responsibilities

The temporary Test Development Assistant help conduct quality assurance on our online testing items and systems. Responsibilities include reviewing test questions, or test items, to make sure that they are working as intended and meet the highest standards for quality and reporting back to the team manager.

Qualifications

Opportunities are available for students currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in:
 Quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, etc.),
 Science field (Biology, Chemistry, etc.),
 English,
 Philosophy, or
 History

Candidates must have an excellent attention to detail, expertise within the Windows environment, and the ability to learn new computer systems quickly.

Candidates must be able to work at least 12 hours per week (Monday – Friday) through the end of the year.
