The Corporate Finance Office (CFO) is a dynamic workplace within AIR with a clear agenda to develop a service oriented organization in line with the business. The Program Finance Unit is looking for a Financial Associate - Business Intelligence to provide financial support of AIR’s business development and merger & acquisition functions. Under minimal supervision, the Financial Associate - Business Intelligence provides financial and administrative support for moderately complex to complex projects and is involved with pre-award activities such as pricing, new business analytics, market analysis; direct and indirect project cost control, cost and price analysis, and budgeting and forecasting. A fully capable candidate will be proficient in the performance of all financial activities related to the life cycle of multi-dimensional, large, long-term projects, ranging through initial business capture/development activities, pricing/cost estimating, budget preparation, project execution and project completion/closeout.
• Provide financial intelligence and act as point-of-contact to the financial Planning and Analysis team for all corporate budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities related to Practice Area and Strategy Office finances. • Lead monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis of new business financial key performance indicators. • Develop and maintain forecasting models with focus on key performance indicator trends and variances. • Under the guidance of the finance Lead and Business Development Director, provide basic financial support and analysis of external organizations targeted for acquisition or business combination. • Analyze AIR’s bid and pipeline data for completeness and accuracy; initiate changes where required. • Provide bidding support to proposal teams including review of bid costs for competitiveness and completeness. • Prepare budgets and related updates for all Practice Area and Strategy Office indirect expenditures.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field is required. • Master’s degree in Finance, business Administration or related field is a plus. • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in an organization offering services to federal, state and commercial clients; experience in an organization delivering IT products and services is a plus. • Problem-solver with strong analytical and organizational skills • Fine attention to detail, responsiveness, and demonstrated ability to deal with confidential information • Experience with large complicated budgets; experience with Business Intelligence reporting tools or Tableau a plus • Expert level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint is required • Flexibility with demonstrated ability to support multiple projects concurrently and consistently meet deadlines is required • Entrepreneurial with ability to work within structured and unstructured environments • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team is required • Ability to communicate — both in writing and in person — clearly, concisely and persuasively is required • Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint is a plus *LI-SS1
