Overview

The American Institutes for Research (AIR) is a leading professional services firm specializing in all aspects of education and other social policy issues. AIR is seeking a R Programmer and data analyst to play a supporting role in our educational assessment programs.

This position is located at our corporate offices in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have advanced skills programming in R and Shiny including development of S3 and S4 objects, statistical modeling, and maintaining and updating programs. The ideal candidate should be able to generate R code independently, implement statistical models, provide computational support to other statisticians and psychometricians at AIR, and manage code updates using regression testing and a code repository . The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills and have the ability to collaborate and teach other team members how to implement and use the programs.

Qualifications

Qualified Candidates will have a Master’s degree in statistics, economics, or other related substantive area in the quantitative sciences. We offer a salary commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits. Some travel may be required.
