AIR's vision is that research-based problem solving can improve the lives of all people. AIR’s Research and Evaluation area is seeking a Research Assistant to join our team in Waltham, Massachusetts.
This Research Assistant will support onsite classroom visits throughout Massachusetts. The goal of the classroom visits are to observe student engagement as it relates to teacher instruction. This Research Assistant will support research and evaluation projects related to educational interventions and school improvement. Responsibilities include data collection, data management, and analysis.
• Bachelor's degree, with a focus on liberal arts. • Experience with STATA or R is preferred. • Excellent task management/organizational skills. • Qualitative and quantitative analysis skills. • Strong writing and organizational skills are highly desired. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • A strong interest in research in education or general social science topics, survey research, and quantitative analysis. • Experience in school settings also desirable.
