We are currently looking for a Researcher with a background in early childhood development and education and strong writing, problem-solving, management, and interpersonal skills for our San Mateo, CA office. The Researcher will work on multiple projects related to early childhood and other educational topics.
The Researcher will work on several projects with responsibilities including: • Leading tasks and projects related to early childhood development and education. • Contributing substantively, thoughtfully, and creatively to projects. • Managing collaborative project teams; managing junior as well as senior staff. • Writing reports, briefs, proposals and other documents that are clear, concise, thoughtful and contribute substantively to the field. • Selecting and conducting appropriate statistical analyses of moderate complexity and interpreting results in a meaningful, policy-relevant, and appropriate way. • Conceptualizing problems in early childhood research and evaluation and designing studies to address them. • Managing client and stakeholder relationships in ways that are respectful and demonstrate knowledge of the field and policy landscape. • Demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity in all interactions with colleagues, stakeholders, and study participants.
• Ph.D. in a social science field related to early childhood development and education. • Strong writing skills, problem-solving skills, and statistical analysis skills • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and project management skills. • Cultural competence. Spanish language skills a plus.
