    Financial Analyst for American Institutes for Research to work at our Washington, DC location.

    Support Finance Lead & project/operational management staff in the financial analysis and management of project direct & operational indirect costs. Serve as liaison between the Financial Lead, project/operational management staff, and other corporate infrastructure units including Accounting & the Contracts & Grants Office, on financial and contractual activities and issues. Facilitate usage, accuracy and proper tracking of data in AIR’s budgeting & forecasting, business development, job cost accounting & other financial tools. Prepare financial reports. Review actual costs for accuracy & consistency with respective purposes & applicable federal and state procurement regulations & internal policies. Assist with the financial management of subcontractors, consultants, & vendors. Work with billing staff to insure invoices are completed & issued accurately & in a timely manner & ensures payment is received within payment terms. Ensure compliance with financial terms of agreements with subcontractors, consultants, & vendors. Work with management staff to ensure costs are forecasted accurately & completely & track the latest estimate-at-complete against the budget baseline & corporate annual budget, recommending corrective action as necessary. Provide bidding support to proposal teams including preparation of bid costs & basis of estimates; review bid costs for competitiveness & completeness & ensures compliance with all cost & business requirements of solicitations. Prepare cost estimates. May undergo background checks.

    Must have Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 5 years relevant finance experience with a wide range of federal, state, and commercial clients including 3 years relevant experience with projects funded by USAID or other international funders. Also requires the following skills (3 years experience in): working with large, complicated budgets; analytical skills; and MS Excel. Apply with complete application at www.air.org; ref. Job #10860.
