AIR is currently seeking an AV Technical Support Associate to join the Facilities Management Department, Conference Services Team.  This position will be based at our Arlington, VA headquarters building and will provide professional, courteous, and timely service in support of all AV requests across AIR’s portfolio for both in person and virtual meetings and conferences.


  • Operate and maintain AV equipment for live events.
  • Coordinate, plan and arrange AV presentations.
  • Deploy new AV hardware and software.
  • Research and implement best practices to resolve equipment issues.
  • Respond to and resolve user support requests.
  • Perform daily room checks to ensure AV hardware and software is operational and set back to defaults.
  • Perform day-to-day Audio/Video functions, including scheduling, end-user coordination / training, troubleshooting and equipment installation / repair in coordination with Conferences Services Team.
  • Coordinate with Conference Services team and perform set up of AV/IT requests for daily meetings and conferences.
  • Support virtual meetings on various platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
  • Assist with set-ups (to include furniture, materials, and equipment) for daily meetings and conferences.
  • Provide support for booking EMS meetings, visitor and telework offices.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and keep AV storage room organized.
  • Track all work using computer aided facilities management (CAFM) systems (FM Systems, FootPrints, EMS, etc.) according to standard process and procedure and to meet tracking, reporting and service level goals.  Review service requests, complete work, logs, tracks and perform data entry tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Follow established AIR processes and procedures and continually make suggestions to increase efficiency.
  • Maintain and grow knowledge of relevant technologies, products, services, and policies to provide technically accurate and appropriate service and creative solutions to employees.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet AIR’s changing business needs.


  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of AV experience preferred or Associate’s degree and 5 years AV experience
  • Experience supporting audio/video conferencing equipment and telephony equipment
  • Experience with conferencing tools such as Zoom, Teams, GoToMeeting, WebEx, and Adobe Connect, and Conference Services Software (EMS)
  • Requires working frequently in any one of our DMV offices
  • COVID-19 fully vaccinated status

  • Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment
  • Effective communicator
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Basic PC/Mac setup and PC/Mac Asset Management skills
  • Basic Apple and Android mobile device support skills
  • Must be able to provide after-hours support as required with occasional travel to offices in local geography

Physical Requirements:

  • This position is in an office setting and requires extensive walking. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds may be required. Some local travel may be required.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position. Depending on project work, qualified candidates may need to meet certain residency requirements.
